Coronavirus advice - letter from Head Teacher

20th March, 2020

Dear Parent / Carer,

Coronavirus School Closures

In line with the government’s announcement to close some schools due to the Coronavirus outbreak, I am writing to inform you of the arrangements for our Catch22 Include schools in Norwich, Kings Lynn and Great Yarmouth.

Please only send your child into school if they are symptom-free and have an Education Health Care Plan or have been assigned a Social Worker. If ALL parents / carers are ‘Key Workers’ and your child cannot be left at home on their own, then the school will also be available to them. There is a list of ‘Key workers’ at the end of this letter. Within these groups children should not be sent to school if they have symptoms, or someone within the household has symptoms. Please contact us if your child will be absent because of ill-health.

There will be staff on site if you need to contact us by phone. Contact numbers are:

Hurricane Way, Norwich: 01603 631021

Hamburg Way, Kings Lynn: 01553 770056

Eurocentre, Great Yarmouth: 01493 886415

Please refer to the government’s advice website regarding staying safe and well during this period: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-guidance-for-households-with-possible-covid-19-infection

If your child is not coming to school a staff member will be in touch with you by phone in the first instance (if they have not already done so) and will visit in person if appropriate.

A small pack of schoolwork will be delivered to your home, and staff can pass on details of how your child can continue to study using Google Classroom during their absence.

We will be responding to any further government recommendations daily, and we will contact you again regarding the schools’ status.

Kind regards

Philip Hinchliffe

Head Teacher
