Pupil Premium and Catch-Up Funding

Pupil Premium Grant

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

2023-2024:

In 2023-202s we received a total of £63,135 of Pupil Premium Grant. This is used to support our PP learners to access a range of offsite provision; along with the specific time allocated to use Lexia whilst in school and at home, this has also allowed our staff to be trained appropristely within team teach.

Catch-Up Funding

In June 2020 the government announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up on missed learning caused by coronavirus (COVID19). This is especially important for the most vulnerable pupils and pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds who we know have been most affected. AP settings received an allocation of £240 per child. Please see below for further details on how the spending of this grant.

2020-2021

In 2020-2021 we received £20,400 in Covid catch up funding, this was primarily used to support our year 11 learners with intensive catch up sessions in English and Maths from subject specialist tutors. This was also used to ensure that students had access to a range of therapies/support on their full return to school and will also fund £800 worth of Kindles to support student access to Kindles on site to further develop reading.

Year 11 Transition Funding

Finally, we have also received £16,460 in Year 11 Transition Funding, this has been used to fund a transition coach who works with our current year 11s, providing their CIAG and developing their pathway to Education, Employment or Training beyond Catch22. The transition coach also works with last years leavers to support them to maintain their positive destination beyond Catch22 and also provide support for those that become NEET to find a course that is right for them.
